The primary goal of this analysis is to uncover insights that can inform strategic decisions aimed at optimizing marketing promotion campaigns. By understanding and addressing key factors, businesses can improve their marketing effectiveness and overall campaign performance.

Objectives:

  1. Promotion Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of different marketing promotion campaigns.
  2. Customer Behavior Analysis:Understand customer behavior in relation to promotions, including discount usage and conversion rates.
  3. Channel Performance:Analyze the performance of different marketing channels.

Key Metrics:

  1. Recency: Number of days since the last purchase.
  2. History: Historical purchase amount.
  3. Used Discount: Whether a discount was used (1) or not (0).
  4. Used BOGO (Buy One Get One): Whether a BOGO offer was used (1) or not (0).
  5. Zip Code: Geographical location categorized into areas such as Surburban, Rural, etc.
  6. Is Referral: Whether the customer was referred (1) or not (0).
  7. Channel: The channel through which the promotion was delivered (Phone, Web, etc.).
  8. Offer: Type of offer given (e.g., Buy One Get One, No Offer).
  9. Conversion: Whether the customer converted (1) or not (0).

Recommendations:1.Focus on High-Performing Channels:Insight: Multi-channel has the highest conversion rate (17.2%), but the web channel has the highest ROI ($112,000).Recommendation: Increase investment in the web channel to leverage its high ROI. Additionally, continue to promote multi-channel approaches to maximize conversions.2.Enhance Discount Offers:Insight: Discount offers have the highest conversion rate (18.3%) and the highest ROI ($97,000).Recommendation: Prioritize discount-based promotions. Consider offering targeted discounts to high-potential segments to drive conversions further.3.Improve BOGO Offers:Insight: BOGO offers have a lower conversion rate (15.1%) compared to discounts but still significant usage (35,000).Recommendation: Evaluate the structure and appeal of BOGO offers. Maximize ROI by Optimizing Offer Types:Insight: Offers with no promotions have the lowest conversion rate (10.6%) and the lowest ROI ($57,000).Recommendation: Minimize the use of no offer promotions unless targeting highly loyal customers or testing specific scenarios. Focus on promoting discount and BOGO offers.6. Monitor Recent Trends:Insight: The conversion rate over the last four months has increased to 17.5%.Recommendation: Analyze the recent campaigns and strategies implemented in the last four months.
